Aminoverse’s enzyme products in 2025
Do you know all the Aminoverse products in biocat?
Aminoverse offers a growing portfolio of enzyme panels designed to enable your projects to have a faster and more efficient start. This year, we launched five different kits that help you cut cloning and expression workflows, deliver direct and real screening results with improved hit rates, and create new opportunities for IP. But with so many options, where should you begin?
Aminoverse started with unspecific peroxygenases (UPOs), and our collection has since grown into the largest available, now at 77 members. These enzymes are well-suited for the hydroxylation, demethylation, epoxidation, and sulfoxidation of terpenes, fatty acids, and steroids, making them highly relevant for flavors, fragrances, and natural product transformations.
Building on this foundation, we expanded into Fe(II)-α-ketoglutarate-dependent oxygenases (KGOs). These KGOs excel at selective hydroxylation across diverse metabolites. To help you increase hit chances and shorten R&D cycles, we launched three curated KGO panels that each address a specific substrate class. The BioCarbon Kit focuses on fatty acids, alkaloids, steroids, and terpenes, supporting innovation in flavors and fragrances, hormone modification, and the development of bioactive agrochemicals. The AminoAcid Kit targets canonical and non-canonical amino acids, supporting pharma and peptide engineering. The XNA Panel extends KGO biocatalysis to DNA, RNA, and related derivatives, opening up opportunities for site-selective nucleic acid modification, the therapeutic application of oligonucleotides, and access to novel derivatives.
Alongside more than 200 hydroxylating enzymes, we also offer an interesting lipase portfolio. This includes both non-immobilized and newly added immobilized lipases for hydrolysis, esterification, and transesterification. With high purity and reduced side reactions, several of these lipases are entirely new to the market.
What are the benefits of Aminoverse enzyme panels?
– Support for novel product creation
– Opportunities for unique IP
– Shorter R&D timelines
This year brought many new kits and extensions, and we are far from done. More innovations are already on the way.
